AUDIO PRODUCTION DEMO REEL
1 - Radio promo project
Promo production
For this project, I took multiple voice talent recordings and applied compression, EQ and reverb effects to make them stand out and sound different. I then layered sound effects and music, as well as station imaging sounds, to add depth to the radio promo.

2 - PSA project
Sound design
In this project, I utilized professionally recorded sound effects - wind, trees rustling, fire crackling, plastic bag rustling - and mixed them together in Pro Tools to create an outdoors-style environment in a public service announcement about wildfire prevention. I combined these with recordings of two different male voices to create dialogue.

3 - Depth of Field podcast - Olga Loganova
Audio enhancing
The recording of this interview Patty Williamson did with Olga Loganova took place in the studio at Moore Hall 315B, where there is soundproofing that reduces background noise. The recording was done with Adobe Audition. In post-production, I applied compression and EQ to make the talent’s voices stand out better and make their volume more consistent, and edited out “ums” and “ahs” to make the conversation flow smoothly.

4 - “Passing the Mike” podcast (CM-Life)
Active listening
In my interview with Riot Course, I asked a series of interview questions pertaining to life on the road and recording music, coming up with new ones as the conversation went along. I listened to what the band was telling me and used that to decide which of my questions to ask next, in order to help the interview flow along. In this example, I asked what the songwriting process is like.

5 - 60-second newscast: Delta College faculty votes to unionize
Public speaking
I read a news script which I wrote using information I gathered for the story from an interview with a Delta faculty member. My anchor read was recorded in Adobe Audition, and edited to include a sound byte from the interview subject, which I introduced.

6 - Audio news package: Vin Trofeo’s
News package production
This project was more advanced than the 60-second newscast mentioned earlier. Not only is this a longer news package (clocking in at 2 minutes), it also includes natural sound, which I recorded separately from my interview with the owner of Vin Trofeo’s restaurant. I used a portable recorder to capture ambient sound inside the restaurant, and had this playing up and under in post production.
OTHER WORK SAMPLES
This was a news package I did for the CMU School of Broadcast and Cinematic Arts, for their livestream coverage of the 2022 New Venture Challenge. I interviewed Casey Croad, owner of Ignite Donuts in Mt. Pleasant, who was a past winner of the competition. This video includes interview footage + B-roll and lower thirds.
This project done for BCA-311 Copywriting class showcases my ability to construct a radio ad using a professional script format. Included are three ads for one product, each one with a different situation.
This is a news script I wrote for a 60-second news piece I did for WUCX-FM in Bay City, Michigan, when I interned there.
This written news article done for the Chemical City Paper is an example of my newswriting skillset. I interviewed a candidate running for school board and incorporated her quotes alongside information gathered from past and current events to construct a story.
